EVA Air plans to purchase 18 Airbus A350-1000 wide-body aircraft from 2026 through 2030 with purchase options for six more.

According to spokesman David Chen, the airline also expects to add 15 Airbus A321neos with deliveries scheduled to begin in 2029 and be completed in 2032.

"The A350-1000 is Airbus’s latest generation of long-range, wide-body passenger aircraft and has a flying range of up to 8,000 nautical miles. The aircraft will give EVA market advantages as we meet capacity needs for growth and expansion in North America. It will also give our passengers a more comfortable flying experience, Mr Chen said.

He added "The Airbus A321neo is the most popular short-range narrow-body passenger aircraft in the industry today. It is an upgraded version of our existing A321-200s. The two models are similar enough that our flight crews will be able to operate both models interchangeably. This versatility will reduce our demand for additional staff and training costs. We will gradually retire the A321-200s we have leased before 2032."

EVA currently has a total operating fleet of 86 aircraft. It has purchased 14 additional new aircraft, including four Boeing B787-10s, nine B787-9s and one B777 freighter that it expects to be delivered by 2027."

Airlineratings.com is packed with information about air travel and answers questions that many of us may have thought of, but didn’t know who to ask. Well, now you do!

Airlineratings.com was developed to provide everyone in the world with a one-stop shop for everything related to airlines, formed by a team of aviation editors, who have forensically researched nearly every airline in the world.

Our rating system is rated from one to seven stars on safety – with seven being the highest ranking. Within each airline, you will find the country of origin, airline code, booking URL and seat map information. The rating system takes into account a number of different factors related to audits from aviation’s governing bodies, lead associations as well as the airline’s own safety data. Every airline has a safety rating breakdown so you can see exactly how they rate.

Over 230 of the airlines on the site that carry 99 per cent of the world’s passengers have a product rating. Given that low-cost, regional and full-service carriers are so different we have constructed a different rating system for each which can be found within each airline.
