Reasons why you should fly with Philippine airlines: - you hate yourself - you place no importance on basic human necessities such as comfort, food, hydration and entertainment. I recently flew from London to Sydney with Philippine airlines which took 26 hours. Neither of the two aircrafts had televisions (not even a big one to share), the leg space was reminiscent of a coffin and every time I asked for water the flight attendants seemed to think this was a major inconvenience. In the transfer "lounge" at Manila airport no shop accepts card, there is no ATM or currency exchange either.. I had to wait 3 hours without water. Honestly I found the staff rude and everything just extremely poorly run. I have been travelling for 2 years and have "slummed" it throughout third would countries, and this was by far the worst experience of my travels to date EDITORS COMMENT: sometimes they use a very cramped aircraft on the Sydney to Manilla route but the route to London should have used the much better 777. I can only guess you were on a replacement aircraft which makes an already long flight pretty awful.
