To the flight crew & ground support of KLM Airlines (KL1058), who assisted in retrieving our luggage, June 20/17, on the Amsterdam tarmac, we cannot thank you enough for going above and beyond for our family! Upon checking our luggage & awaiting our return flights, our 12 month old started experiencing extremely labored breathing. My husband & I were very upset to realize we packed his asthma inhaler into our checked baggage and that we would not be able to retrieve our luggage until at our final destination. With a 4 hr delay in Amsterdam followed by an 8 hr flight home to YYC, Canada, we were sick to think our little boy was going to have to be in such distress for the many hours ahead of us. The flight crew & ground support went above and beyond on this flight! Our bags were able to pulled aside so that the asthma inhaler could be quickly removed and then the bags rushed off to our second flight. Additional plans were also organized for our little guy to receive additional medical care in the airport if the bags were unable to be quickly located. Luckily our bags were located & we were able to get our 12 month old the assistance he needed immediately. Thank you so much!!!
