Austrian in general is a good airline, but when it comes to dealing with delays (meaning unexpected overnight stay) the service gets lousy. I had a "train-flight" from Linz to the Vienna airport which arrived with a delay of 40 min so that I missed my connecting flight. The put me in a Moxy (low cost) hotel close to the airport. The "dinner" was a sandwich and a glass of water from the bar, and the breakfast was on the lower end of what you expect in middle european hotels. Due to the fact that obviously the EU has defined a flight as executed with a transport medium with solid wings, it is even impossible to get the penalty payments of EUR 250.
