LOT Polish Airlines review by Keval

flew LOT Polish Airlines on 11/26/2017 from WAW-IAD. Upon my arrival at the airport I wanted to upgrade my seat. LOT said that this was possible and proceeded to take payment from me. After the payment went through of PLN 3,200 the LOT rep told me that unfortunately the seat had been taken by another passenger and that they could not upgrade me. Although this was annoying I agreed and asked for a refund to which she replied that she was not able to issue me with a refund!! She took me to the LOT ticketing desk where I was met by a woman who rudely told me that she was unable to do anything as the first lady had issued the ticket and they were two different companies. I was in SHOCK!! The lady who sold me the upgrade then introduced me to a supervisor who also said that it was LOTS policy not to issue refunds and asked me to fill out a claim form and gave me access to the Polish Airlines lounge. I filled out the claim form and handed it to the reception desk of the lounge. (I flew back to the US.. to top things off LOT lost my bags and when I arrived in Tampa I had to file a lost baggage claim, I received my bags a few hours later. ) Since I filed my claim I never heard from LOT. On 12/12 I called the LOT offices in the US where I was told that they were still processing my claim and it could take upto 30 days. The lady gave me my claim number and told me to follow up in 30days. I also filed another online claim as I did not understand why LOT has been ILLEGALLY holding my money. On 12/28 I again called LOT in the US only to be told again that the claim was still being worked on. It has now been over 30 days where LOT AIRLINES has been ILLEGALLY holding my money!!!!!!!!!!! When I checked my bank statement LOT had withdrawn $ $910. 32 and there was another unauthorized charge of $27.31. NO ONE IS ABLE TO ADDRESS MY ISSUE AND THIS AIRLINE HAS BASICALLY HELD MY MONEY ILLEGALLY FOR OVER 30 DAYS!
