I regularly fly with Malaysia Airlines but their overall service has been quite disappointing. The attendants aren't helpful and are often rude and the seats are often unclean, and there is barely any leg space. And their instruction video music makes my soul leave my body with cringe. Finally, they do not provide rewards for your flights that were in the past.

Don't fly with Malaysian Airlines! Charged AU$630 for excess baggage. (3kgs, 3 kgs and 5 kgs) Not told at baggage check in that the bags were over weight. Informed only after the bags were on the plane so unable to remove excess into empty carry on bags (limit of 7 kgs per carry on bag x 3) and no option but to pay AU$630 penalty. Plane had a fuel leak and gave most passengers a head ache. Not told of fuel leak until every passenger was seated, even though the smell was horrendous and obvious. Flight was delayed for 6 hours. Missed connecting flights so charged by other airlines for new tickets. One luggage bag was lost. Arrived at destination airport 3 days later. Not delivered to hotel. Returning flight was delayed too. Ruined holiday.

I was robbed on Malaysian Airlines $8500 of cash and valuables was removed from my back pack in the overhead locker , by professional thieves . They only removed gold credit cards , $us and $aud . Malaysian Airlines refuse to help or start warning passengers about these professional thieves travelling out of and to Vietnam .

Disappointed with this airline. I have flown a few times with Malaysia Airlines and had good service with them. They would do a first in first serve basis when booking your seat. Giving you the opportunity to get a reasonable seat. But now unless you pay extra you get put where they put you, and I’m in the middle of the baby row all the way to Perth from London. Talk about treating customers like this because they can’t afford to to pay extra for a seat. I thought that a full service airline doesn’t do cheap arse ticket system. This airline is now more like a budget airline a bit like Ryan air, but at least you got cheaper tickets, but what Malaysia Airlines is just that, ‘Cheap’ Be the last time I fly with them

They got me to check in online and then told me I had to go to the counter anyway, even though I wasn't checking any luggage. They should really tell people ahead of time that they can't get an online boarding pass or use a kiosk, so they don't waste their time trying :(

I booked a business class flight from Perth to Guanzhou leaving 1st July 2023 Booking ref 6FMVNV Malasia airlines then cancelled the return flight. Their suggested alternatives did not suit me so I phoned theiir Sydney office who told me I must cancel via website and that there would be no cancellation charge. I cancelled via their website and was charged $500 cancellation fee. I wrote to them and their response was curt, and basically told me I cancelled the incorrect way. Tough luck. I'm now hesitant to use them again as even though I'm a business class customer, I get treated as a number, not a person.

I had a two way ticket from Melbourne to Kathmandu with transit at Malaysia. The cutomer service that I experienced on 4 flight was really poor. The attitude of the staff was poor aswell. The main issue was raised when the flight delay happen on return at Kuala Lumpur. The flight was delayed for more than 10 hour due to technical issue. It was understandable, Nobody wants to take the risk of their life but there was no announcement made neither change in the display monitor. Somebody realizes through the message. After that the mismanagement of the passanger lead to frustration. People were sitting on the floor to get them a flight transfer. Many people waited with frustration and anger. I raised my issue with transfer staff(Malaysian Airline representative) but didinot listen. There were Elderly people on that flight with the same issue but was left alone. I and other elderly people take rest on the airport bench the whole 10 hour. I lost my flight and have to rebook the flight which even cost me money. The customer service was poor. The management of flight delay was poor.

I flew for my 800th birthday going to mars for my uncles baby shower for her new born couch. I had many problems while using this boat service, they took off and landed in a secure area I saw many aliens doing the dirty with cows but I have been stranded in this island ever since.

One of the most pathetic airlines of the world. I have booked tickets for my parents with Malaysian Airlines. They had a connecting flight with Turkish Airlines and the layover between connecting flights was 90 mints. Flights left from Perth with a delay of 30 minutes and they just issued one boarding pass and told them that they will get other boarding pass from Turkish Airline help desk on KL Airport Malaysia, so technically they have 60 minutes left to change the flight. When they landed on KL Malaysia and went to Turkish Airline help desk they said they didn't receive any information from Malaysian Airlines. Just imagine the level of professionalism of Malaysian Airlines. When they went to Malaysian Airlines help desk they had closed their help desk and eventually my parents who are diabetic patients missed their flight. It was almost midnight and no one was there to help them. This incident was happened with 11 passengers from the same flight. I will never ever recommend Malaysian Airlines to anyone in my life. Save your time and money and find a better airline.

Flew business class Bangkok to KL. 13 passengers including my partner and I. Seated middle of cabin. Meal menu offered all other passengers then when finally served, our selection not available as had run out. This has happened before on this airline. Flights attendants both rude and off hand. Interesting, we were the only Europeans in business class. All other Asian passengers served first. Frequent flyer, always business class, never happened before on American, Thai, Singapore, Korean, British, Hawaiian, Emirates, Qantas, and more. Very poor, airline definitely second rate on this basis. Only use as last resort.
