Spirit Airlines review by Eric 2015-06-21

If I could give ZERO stars to this "airline," I would. Where to start First, flight was cancelled due to weather. This, one might be able to understand -- UNTIL you see a Jet Blue flight taking off with a departure set for one minute past spirit's set departure time to the exact same airport allegedly experiencing weather problems. True, there were showers at LGA but why did Jet Blue get to go? Literally this happened one gate over so everyone watched what was going down. The Jet Blue flight was boarding as spirit canceled. Did I mention this was the exact same departure time, plus one minute, to the exact same airport? I should also add, the Spirit plane was at the gate and the crew was on board. They deplaned! So, there was zero excuse not to fly since Jet Blue was on the exact same schedule, plus one minute. I am repeating this so people will understand how ridiculous Spirit airlines truly is. With zero help from spirit, I managed to get a jet blue flight to DCA - their flights to LGA and JFK were filled and/ or starting to Delay -- not cancel. BTW - Jet Blue waived the SAME DAY purchase fee for me!!! The return flight was delayed HOURS! NEVER AGAIN
