Air Transat review by Donna 2016-10-10

I was diagnosed with cancer and tried to cancel my flight from Toronto to Venice as soon as I heard. Due to the fact I booked through air transat I receive absolutely no money back. They charge me $600 cancelation fee. If I had booked directly with the airlines I could have cancelled or changed my flights but this company would not do that. This was booked 6 months before my flight and paid for at the time. I would not recommend booking through this company due to its policy on changes or cancellations. Very poor customer service in my opinion. EDITORS COMMENT: We are sorry to hear you needed to cancel your trip due to illness but you woudl find the same cancellation policy or 'lack of' policy on any airline if you had purchased the lowest fare. Even top tier airlines like Singapore airlines and Cathay Pacific would not honor and sort of refund if you were traveling on the cheapest fare no matter the circumstance.
