With our round the world airfare we decided on using Star Alliance thinking we'd have a reasonable standard; not so! even though we booked flights 11months ago my partner and I were often allocated seats apart from each other; aisle seat requests were ignored; flights cancelled and changed without consultation; service staff rude and inattentive; seats uncomfortable for long flights; leg room taken up by an electronic box (in each seat); lack of water being offered. Will never use again unless there is no alternative
