In case anyone was hoping that the brand new Istanbul airport would improve Turkish Airlines' customer service, you will be disappointed. Same rude, unhelpful staff during a 5 hour plane delay. Three hours into the delay, we receive a "light meal" voucher which the only open restaurant refused to accept. On the flight itself (5 hours late taking off) not one word of apology! Have made a claim for compensation, but on reading others' experiences not expecting much from them.
