You get what you pay for! No truer is this the case than with Scoot. A $400 return airfare from Sydney to Singapore was an irresistible opportunity to visit a friend on a business trip there. All aspects of the check-in & boarding process were very good. On the Sydney-Singapore sector, the flight was probably only half full, so the extra room around me made up for the really uncomfortable seats on the 787-9. With no TV's, the only entertainment is whatever you bring onboard or the iPad's you can hire. I bought a 24 hour internet package and have to say I was blown away by how quick it was. The under seat power charging for an additional USD5 was also very useful. About the only irritating aspect of the Scoot aircraft is the placement of the buttons that operate the light & call button. Being right on the top of the armrest, I kept accidentally pressing the call button. EDITORS COMMENT: Thanks for your balanced review. We agree!
