If I could give negative stars, I would. This airline is the worst airline I have ever flown with, it wasn't even my choice as a larger airline had partnered with them. From the start of my holiday, I had issues checking in as it kept saying "system issues". When I called the airline, they told me I would not be able to travel as the time on my return flights (a month away) was incorrect and I needed to get it fixed so I could travel. After talking to the larger airline, they confirmed it was Batik's issues and not theirs as the travel time was correct. Called Batik back and told them, they still refused to believe me and take accountability and they ended up hanging up on me. This was all before my holiday. When I finally got on the plane, they started doing food service. I had prebooked food, so I should them my boarding pass, they said they had no record of my meal purchase, I showed them them the meal selection invoice, they told me the meal I had prepurchased was not an economy meal but business class and I was unable to have it. They also offered to economy passengers the option to upgrade to business class. when I asked how much, they gave me the price and they were firm on cash only. Batik's T&C's clearly state credit card only so this sounded very very dodgy to me. I did email their customer service team about this also, no reply and no accountability. Fast forward to my return flights. Everything was fine with the bigger airline, get to Kuala Lumpar for my flight back to Australia, I got off the plane and looked at the departure board for my flight but could not see it. My flight was meant to leave at 6:45pm. I went to the transfer desk and enquiried and they told me that the flight was cancelled and the new flight was at midnight. I told them I had not received any notification from batik that the original flight was cancelled and changed. there was no care factor or wanting to help. I had to waiting 6 hours in the airport. I had also bought a specific seat for the extra leg room, they went and changed it on me and once again, the meal I had prepurchased was not on their list and didn't exist. This airline is absolutely horrible. Their customer service have no care factor and hang up on you, they don't record/acknowledge your meal purchases and cancel flights on your without letting you know. Do not travel with this airline, they are horrible and useless.

I was on a Batik Air flight from Jakarta to Surabaya. The airplane was filthy, and I had to ask the flight attendant twice to come clean my seat. It helped som, but still had a lot of stains. I’ve flown with them a few times, and their airplanes are always dirty. Hopefully I’ll never have to fly with them again.

Appalling customer service! My friend booked flights for her husband, herself and me from Penang to Denpasar. They were celebrating 40th wedding anniversary and I was reuniting with a daughter I hadn't seen for three years. Flight retiming meant we would miss connection at Kuala Lumpur. When we eventually got through to customer service they had no advice at all so we decided to catch flight to KL and stay in a hotel till next day (losing one night in Bali). Clerk at Penang said we should have been informed that second flight would have waited! We incurred extra expense and lost a day's holiday. Very stressful for three senior citizens and still no reply from email sent about recompense. Other passengers in departure lounge had a catalogue of complaints about this airline. Then we read that two pilots had fallen asleep on a flight to Jakarta! I am incredulous

They treated me poorly. During my flight, I found out by accident that my seat was missing important safety gear underneath it. Even after three months of asking, they only told me they had extras on the plane. It's crazy to think that in an emergency, I'd have to leave my kids to ask for a safety vest, especially when they had time to give me one before

Left for 48h in Kuala Lumpur after the Batik Air flight was delayed and had to constantly chase them to get put on new flights to reach our destination. Then we find out that for some unknown reason they modified our return flights and did it incorrectly. As a result we were denied boarding on our trip home. We had to purchase new tickets leaving us out of pocket by $8000. Any attempt to contact them was left unanswered. Nobody answers on the phone or the Whatsapp so called Customer Service. No compensation was offered and no reply to our complaint. They should not have a license to operate! Avoid them at all costs.

I have a list of complaints about this airline. But by far the biggest is the rude flight attendants. Both ways. Not just the one way. I put my hand up to ask a question as the flight attendant walked past and she put her hand in my face and kept walking. I’m a seasoned traveller and never experienced this kind of service before.

Business class dari malang ke halim. - check in di bantu brand ambassador - tidak ada lounge khusus bussiness class - ruang tunggu dan pintu boarding dan waktu masuk pesawat tidak berbeda dengan kelas ekonomi - sebelum take off disediakan snack, jus/air putih dan hot towel. - tempat duduk nyaman, ada sandaran kepala samping yang bisa diatur dan bantal kecil - no inflight entertainment and no compensation for it. Padahal ada orang memilih batik air krn IFE walau sedikit lbih mahal drpd maskapai lainnya. Sudah berlangsung beberapa kali dn cm menerima kata maaf saja. - makanan selama flight biasa saja. Roti di piring, dan 2 jnis makanan lainnya. Bisa minta tea stlh makan. - setelan landing keluar lebih awal dr wxonomy class. Tp ambil baggage sndiri. Intinya beda di kursi sm servis makanannya aja sih kalo dibandingkan economy class.

I am a very displeased client. We are currently waiting in Halim airport, no information is being given to us because our flight is delayed. We are being badly treated by batik air ground crew, they are mocking us. No one speaks enough English to explain to us that there is 2 and half hours of delay. We had to ask another kind passenger to translate for us. The announcements of updates for delay are not given in English and they are being disrespectfull. This is unacceptable from an air line like Batik air. I expected better customer service. Moreover, they are claiming that we cannot be compensated. I don't think that Halim International Airport should be called "international" when no one out of 6 ground staff can explain a simple delay in English.... unacceptable from such an airline. I will not be using them again!
